I can't recall ever hearing John sing! I had most of H&O's '70s output, although I think I side-stepped this album; I rarely got live albums unless they were either by my absolute fave artists (Genesis comes immediately to mind), or there was something different or more than might've been on a studio album (like extended Genesis songs or jams, or Phil/Chester drum duets)! Good song, though! Thanks!

I usually bypass live albums as well. It just happened I got this album before I got the albums the songs were on. John has a great voice and most of his songs have become favourites.

Live albums, as you illustrate, can be a great intro to an act you're unfamiliar with! Makes me think John should've sung more in the duo, and I'm sure he wouldn't disagree!😁

He absolutely would. How Does It Feel to be Back was released with him on lead vocal and it didn't do well. Sadly, Hall's voice became part of their identifying sound by then. On the 70s albums, he does a lot more leads. And hey, now he has his solo career!

Cool! Which reminds me: Have you ever heard of/heard Garfunkel & Oates? A female comedy/singing duo: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1R9fG_iKqvt9FIhEQH9nTA

Hilarious name! I guess they could've also gone with Messina & Crofts, but G&O rocks!
