I hadn't heard this track in a hell of a long time. And hadn't really paid attention to the lyrics before. I am not sure what it means. Other than maybe when we look in the mirror we only see ourselves but there are other people to consider too? I dunno. I suppose I could look into what The Professor or Geddy had to say about it, but best left to interpretation.
I'm still amazed that the the music writers here (that I know of) who write about Rush are all women! I didn't see them on this tour (I don't think -- I was living in an area not close to giant stadiums, where they would certainly have played), but I did most of all the rest.
War Paint! I love this song--it always makes me think of my days as a dancer, getting dressed backstage. Glitter was our war paint. If you had to ask whether you had enough on, the answer was always, "MORE." Thanks for sharing it (and for the kind words!!!)
