Ava Max's empowerment anthem
Today is another new artist to me. Ava Max is known for writing songs about women’s empowerment. This song, released in 2020, has 7 writers and 2 producers credited to it1, so it’s amazing it comes out as strong as it does. This reflects the song going through ten different iterations before reaching its final form. It’s a fun dance tune. The bridge unusually has a guitar running through it, giving it a bit of a glam rock feel.
The video by prolific director Isaac Rentz takes its inspiration from the Game of Thrones, with Max sitting on a throne, surround by dancers and a feast in a room that has angelic vibes.
This song is just fun and a good antidote to the mid-week hump. Enjoy your song of the day!
Max, Brett McLaughlin, Desmond Child, Hillary Bernstein, Jakke Erixson, Madison Love, Mimoza Blinsson, and producers Cirkut and RedOne.
