I wanted my MTV back then! I remember that song, but not sure if I’d seen that music video before. Classic 80’s through and through. The song has elements of RUSH and Foreigner running through it. 80’s music was experimental with rock and punk as the foundations. The lyrics didn’t always make sense, but who cares, the music stood out as a unique genre that always brings back great memories.
Agree on 80s music. There was experimentation in all kinds of directions. The rock/punk merging and the creation of hair metal in one area. The punk/new wave/electronica experiments in another area. R&B merging with the emerging rap scene is another. Disco morphing into dance pop (Toni Basil/Madonna/Pointer Sisters, etc). The mainstreaming of Latin pop (Miami Sound Machine/Menudo/Los Lobos). There was so much creativity!
