Why a Song of the Day?

My brain is an encyclopedia of musical knowledge. My music collection is vast. So why not share my daily brain worms with the world? I’ve been doing these posts on and off on my Facebook page for over 5 years but this is a much nicer place to post. Here I can talk more about the songs I love by provide links to interesting information or adjacent videos that talk about the making of the song or video, or a remix/parody of the song you may not have heard. I’m working to bring over the entire archive from Facebook so soon you’ll be able to experience even more cool songs.

Plans for the future

It is my hope that a community will spring up sharing their songs, even guest posting. Substack has the structure to make that happen. There are so many great songs out there that are unknown to the wider culture. Let’s put that work out in the world.
