Time for Miracles
Repost from 10 July 2020
I’m a big fan of Adam Lambert, especially his first album For Your Entertainment. This is the final track on the album and was chosen to appear on the soundtrack for the movie 2012. It has a driving vocal and a message of hope. From Songfacts:
This declaration of faith in the healing power of love was composed by Alain Johannes and his late partner Natasha Shneider, who succumbed to cancer on July 2, 2008. The duo performed together in the '90s rock outfit Eleven and later contributed to several Queens of the Stone Age albums. Johannes also plays as a live rhythm guitarist in Them Crooked Vultures.
That would explain the power in the song. Lambert talked about the process of recording it:
The song was produced by big-rock guru Rob Cavallo, the man behind hit albums for Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Paramore among many others. Lambert explained to MTV News that working with Cavallo was fairly intense. "[He] pushed me to the limit," Lambert said. "I sang for my life. It was quite a day of recording, but it turned out great."
Enjoy your song of the day!

Adam Lambert was the my favorite idol in the seasons that I watched (1-9?). This album was better than expected. I’m thrilled he’s thrived both as a member of Queen and as a solo artist. I will have to play this song and remind myself of it.
