Take Me Out
Today's song of the day is a song I like a lot, even though the lyrics are about a couple who are so at odds that the singer is begging to be shot to end the tension. Franz Ferdinand's breakout song just has a great beat and the fantastic switch in style and tempo between the opening and the rest of the song that really makes it stand out.
I also really love the video. To me, it's a steampunk ascetic but it's really "inspired by Dada artist Max Ernst's graphic novel Une Semaine de Bonte, as well as the choreography of Busby Berkely and Russian constructivist design" according to songfacts.com. So I don't know my art movements. I just know it's very cool. Enjoy!
