It seems fitting that my final post of the year is a repost. It’s been that kind of a year. I’m committed to posting more in 2025 and I’m thrilled so many of you have joined me on this journey despite my inconsistent posting. Enjoy my favourite version of this classic song.

It’s NYE and there’s always only one song that comes to me. I’m honoured to know the musicians in this video and I was actually at this performance. (There’s a glimpse of me in the front row.) Both Raoul and Tyler have special places in my heart and this song just moved me then and now.

The song was written by legendary songwriter Frank Loesser and is most famously recorded by Ella Fitzgerald although over 30 artists have also recorded it. Feel free to check out any of those versions. I’ll stick with Raoul’s soulful voice and Tyler’s virtuosity on the keys - even if the sound quality isn’t great.
