Doug and the Slugs are a Vancouver band with a hard-drinking band leader and a knack for cheese but catchy songs. This is my favourite song of theirs and this video was seen often when MuchMusic launched. It’s funny, cheesy and sexist - so a typical 80s video.
While Doug Bennett died in 2004 of liver cirrhosis, the rest of the original band reunited in 2009 and still tour under the band name. In 2022, there was a documentary about the band released that I’ve have to watch. Enjoy your song of the day!
