Something a little different today - a song that is brand new to me but has been around since 1981. Originally by the French-Canadian band Corbeau, this version features iconic Franco-Canadian artists Marc Dupré, Louis-Jean Cormier, Bruno Pelletier, Jeff Smallwood, Roch Voisine recording since the pandemic as The Silver Foxes. Joining them near the end is the vocalist on the original recording, Marjo. Enjoy a very different Song of the Day!
Adding on here in 2023, here’s the Corbeau original from 1981 in all its early Canadian music video glory. It’s set in a video arcade and it’s a trip to see all the vintage games.
It’s not difficult to hear XTC doing a version of this in my head.
