I Drink Wine
Adele's ode to self-acceptance
This song has been rattling around in my head the last couple of days. Not just the lyrics, which are about looking at how a need for acceptance influences oneβs decisions, as well as mourning the loss of a relationship. The song itself has a gospel feel to it and it uses a lot of 70s-era synth sounds. I love singing it as the vocals have some lovely swooping and soaring in it. The song was originally 15 minutes long but she was persuaded to bring it down to 6 minutes.
The video itself has an old-school Hollywood feel to it, with set pieces taking place on a soundstage while Adele floats through it all. Itβs directed by Joe Talbot, a young director with a feature and a short under his belt. This was his first music video.
Enjoy your song of the day!

cool video and song...
Without thinking too hard about it... I think this song is about the fun of romance. It's a rollercoaster and rollercoasters are fun. Wine can make romance funner. If it gets to scary just scream.
