Since I’m still having trouble with bringing over old Facebook posts, I’m going to start reposting some here. And since this song is back in my head, here we go! (This is the only other post that feature Zondag Met Lubach, I swear!)

So I'm a fan of Zondag Met Lubach, a Dutch political comedy show (who left Facebook quite publicly a couple of seasons ago). They did this video in advance of their last election and I found myself haunted by the backing track.

Well, I've finally found it. It's this Dutch classic song. Only a couple of samples appear in the ZML and I can't help but wonder how much fun it would be to put it to a modern arrangement. The lyrics are very much in the style of a Billy Joel or Tim Freedman.

So for your song of the day, here's something different. Or if you prefer, iets een beetje anders.
