Don't Stop Movin'
Let S Club 7 get your week started right
S Club 7 has all the hallmarks of a boy band, save for having some women in the group. They were put together by manager and producer Simon Fuller after the Spice Girls kicked him to the curb. They launched their career on a tv show, Miami 7, which was aimed for a tween audience. They made disposable pop.
Then came this song.
It appears on their third album, Sunshine. It signaled a more mature sound for the band. The track has the feel of 80s Michael Jackson, or even a disco feel. It’s the first time band member/rapper Bradley McIntosh took lead vocal, with Jo O'Meara bringing in a soaring powerful vocal on the choruses. The mix of the two voices and the beat make it a dance floor crowd pleaser.
The video was directed by Andy Morahan, best known for working on almost all of George Michael’s videos. The google machine can’t tell me which club this was shot in but it looks like fun.
Enjoy your song of the day!

"Don't Stop Movin'" is fun (if somewhat forgettable); it does go for big, broad musical gestures and they work.
I don't know if you every watch Todd In The Shadows, but his video on the one S Club 7 song that made it in America was amusing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0FOT65O1Jg
